CONFERENCE CHECKLIST

We know that you are always super busy taking care of everyone else around you, so to make your Conference planning as easy as possible - we have made a checklist for you. 

Before You Travel:

  • Register for the social functions available - Welcome Reception / Gala Dinner etc. Note: Ensure you complete your dietary requirements on your profile. we want to make sure what you need is available.

  • Update your conference profile / registration with useful information for networking and connecting with exhibitors. ACNP National Conference 2026 - Update my RegistrationWe suggest adding:
    • Position / Company Name
    • Headshot / Profile Photo
    • Professional Biography
    • Dietary requirements
    • Meta-Specialties (for exhibitor / networking searches)

  • If you're traveling to Adelaide, book your flights and hotel early! If you want to take advantage of some of the deals ACNP delegates are offered, see the 'Delegate Resources' tab on the ACNP Conference Website. ACNP National Conference 2026 - Adelaide Accomodation
  • Download the Conference App (available end August)
  • If needed, arrange transportation to and from the conference venue - ie taxi, car rental.
  • Weather Check: Check the weather forecast for your Adelaide and pack accordingly. https://www.bom.gov.au/location/australia/south-australia/adelaide-metropolitan/bsa_pt001-adelaide
  • Conference Materials: Review any materials provided such as agendas and speaker bios, workshop and concurrent offering. All of which can be found on the website. Please take the time to look around and see what information is provided.

Packing For Conference:

  • Clothing: Pack appropriate attire for the conference sessions. The dress code for conference is 'smart casual'. We encourage you to include items that can be layered and are comfortable for you - this includes comfortable shoes. Remember Adelaide is the city for walking! Gala dinner theme will be announced late July so remember to check our website regularly for updates if you are preparing to dress for the theme. 
  • Technology: Make sure you have what you need for your stay. This may include laptop, tablet and/or your phone to interact and staying connected. Remember to pack chargers and any necessary adapters.
  • Presentation Materials: If you're presenting at the conference, ensure you have all necessary materials, such as slides or handouts.
  • Business Cards: Bring plenty of business cards for networking opportunities.
  • Notebook and Pen: Carry a notebook and pen for jotting down important information during sessions.
  • Medications: Pack any necessary medications or supplements you may need during your trip.
  • Toiletries: Bring travel-sized toiletries, including toothpaste, shampoo, and deodorant.

During the Conference:

  • Arrival Time: Aim to arrive early on the first day to register and familiarise yourself with the venue. The Registration and Exhibition Hall are open from 08:30am daily
  • Session Schedule: Refer to the conference program to plan which sessions you want to attend and that you have booked in for what requires pre-registration.
  • Networking: Take advantage of networking opportunities during breaks and social events.
  • Engagement: Actively participate in sessions by asking questions and contributing to discussions.
  • Stay Organised: Keep track of important information and contacts you gather during the conference.
  • Social Media: Share highlights from the conference on social media using the event hashtags.
  • Visit as many exhibitor stalls as you can, for all the latest info and updates from industry professionals

After the Conference:

  • Follow-Up: Connect with new contacts made during the conference via email or LinkedIn.
  • Feedback: Complete the evaluation forms to provide constructive feedback to the conference organisers. This will help to improve future events.
  • Reflection: Take some time to reflect on what you learned and how you can apply it to your work or studies.
