ACNP NATIONAL OFFICE

CHIEF EXECUTIVE
OFFICER

ADJ. A/PROF LEANNE BOASE (VIC)
BN MN (NP), MHSc (Ed), MAICD, FACNP

I have over 25 years’ experience working in a wide range of hospital and private health settings, including metropolitan and regional areas, and primary care. I am a practising Nurse Practitioner, endorsed since 2009, working in my own primary care practice, and am a past President of the ACNP.

I have extensive experience working with Commonwealth and State Governments, Health Professionals, Professional Associations and key Stakeholders, with a focus on improving health care, and the role of the nurse practitioner.

About Leanne

My roles in the sector have included Clinical roles, Management, Clinical and Business Planning/Development, as well as being a Board Member of various health organisations. I have set up and operated my own successful primary care clinic, specialist centre and general practice and have consulted on a wide range of greenfield and existing health related projects.

OPERATIONS
MANAGER

DOMENIQUE YUCEL (VIC)

I’m the Operations Manager at ACNP, and I work across teams to help keep things running smoothly — from behind-the-scenes operations and partnerships to supporting member engagement and overseeing events. A big part of my role is helping bring ideas from the Board and Chapter Leads to life. I love working with our staff and supporting the team’s growth, but what I love most is working for our members and making sure you feel supported, included, and valued in everything we do.

About Domenique

I come from an administration and education background and have really enjoyed growing into the world of membership organisations and leadership. Over time, I’ve learned a lot about Nurse Practitioners — and about myself. After almost seven years at ACNP, I’m still learning something new all the time, which is what makes the work so rewarding.

EVENT
COORDINATOR

SARAH ZRIM (VIC)

As the coordinator of the National Conference and state/territory based events, I aim to bring vision, creativity and expertise to each event we offer. My role is to work with senior leadership and the state and territory leads, to ensure seamless execution of the events we develop.
I am truly passionate about bringing people together and I thrive on creating unforgettable event experiences that elevate ACNP’s professional community.

About Sarah

The majority of my career has been in Office Management and Business Development. Because my roles have typically been very 'admin focused', in 2020, I started a small business of my own, to let my creativity fly. I (personally) design and create custom coats, bedding and accessories for the pampered puppy dogs of this world.

SCHOLARSHIPS
PROGRAM MANAGER

JACKIE MILLS (SA)

As Program Manager at ACNP, I oversee the Primary Care Nursing and Midwifery Scholarship Program. I manage end to end operations including application processes, reporting and stakeholder engagement.

About Jackie

I have extensive experience in management and compliance within a similar membership organisation, and a strong background in accounting.

POLICY
ADVISOR

REBECCA SEDGMAN (VIC)

As a Policy Advisor and Clinician, I advocate for improved healthcare access and assist with ensuring Nurse Practitioner led services are fairly remunerated and recognised, and that we have a voice. I collaborate with organisations and governments at all levels, provide expert advice on health policies, and contribute to evidence-based submissions aimed at addressing Australia's evolving public health challenges.

About Rebecca

With over 25 years of experience as a registered nurse, I have also worked as a Nurse Practitioner in Emergency Departments at Eastern Health and previously Alfred Health, Melbourne, since receiving my endorsement in 2009. I recently completed a Public Health Masters at Deakin University and now work part-time as a Policy Advisor with the College. My interests include healthcare access, triage, improvement projects, health promotion, and research.

MEMBERSHIP COORDINATOR

BERNIE McPHEE (VIC)

I love connecting with members and making their experience the best it can be! As part of the ACNP team, I help with engagement, recruitment, and retention by developing outreach strategies and managing databases and websites. With strong communication and relationship-building skills, I work to keep members happy, grow our community, and support our mission.

About Bernie

Since my first job, I’ve loved supporting volunteers and members in advancing each organization’s mission. Helping NPs through victories like removing collaborative arrangements—and challenges like slow change—is truly rewarding. Your dedication inspires me every day, and I’m grateful to be part of your journey. You are all amazing!

As the Finance and Administration Coordinator for ACNP & Projects I am responsible for supporting the financial and administrative operations of the ACNP & and its associated projects.
