Case presentation: Why methoxyflurance as an analgesic is helpful with managing acute pain for the nurse practitioner. 1-3

Low-does methoxyflurane is a non-opioid analgesic that patients self-administer under medical supervision using a hand-held inhaler device. 1 Low dose methoxyflurane has been used in Australia for over 40 years and is well-known in the pre-hospital setting for acute pain relief. 1 It's time to take a fresh look at methoxyflurane and you'll see it's ideally suited for use by Nurse Practitioners.

Join us for a breakfast presentation with Ms Arlene Bannon (Nurse Practitioner) as she shared her real-world experience with methoxyflurane at the Nepean Hospital and how it has impacted their Emergency Department.
